The Greenway Avenue Academy Award Contest was established in 1972 by Don Potter, John Bedard, and Dan Potter. Since that time the contest has been held annually as a means of family competition and honoring of a pastime. 

Due to distance, technological challenges, and lack of organization the contest has been sporadic since the mid 2000's.  Therefore, in 2018 this site was assembled in order to revitalize and re-establish both structure and legitimacy to the contest.
